How to Use your Meeting Place

The Meeting Place is the online home for members to further their learning experience, and you're a part of it! We ask that you bookmark this community and visit often to keep current with events, key dates, news, and latest resources. We encourage you to regularly participate in the discussions and submit your suggestions for announcements, events, and resources for the eLibrary.

Our Meeting Place is a members-only, login and password protected area with limited guest access for non-members. Non-members may read the pages, but they may not participate in discussion forums, submit content suggestions or view the member directory and profiles. We ask that you remember to log out each time you are finished with your session in order to prevent any unauthorized access. Your session will automatically end after a finite amount of time of inactivity.

There are five areas of our Meeting Place: Welcome/Announcements, Directory, Discussion, Calendar and Resources/e-Library. Visit each one by clicking on the beige tabs at the top. A blue tab indicates where you are currently located. Take some time to familiarize yourself with each area, what it contains, how it can help you, and how you can contribute. Should you have any questions about a particular section, click on the green "Help" tab in the upper right. Each area has its own Help information.

The Meeting Place is your community, however it is maintained on a daily basis by an administrator who oversees content, controls member access and maintains the directory. To ask general questions or submit feedback, you may e-mail the administrator at any time.

Search
The search box found on each page will allow you to enter search terms and will search that particular area of the Meeting Place for those keywords. The search does not scan the entire site; it will only look through the current area. For example, if you are in the Discussion area and search for "Academic Help" the search engine will only scan through the Discussion forums for those words. It will not search Announcements, Calendar, or any other areas of the Meeting Place.
